About this qualification

The Certificate II in General Education for Adults is designed for students who wish to develop their skills in literacy and numeracy to help increase employment opportunities or go onto further study. Students learn to engage with and create a range of both familiar and unfamiliar text types and apply numeracy in a range of contexts.

They also develop the skills and knowledge needed to conduct a project, investigate career pathways and develop, implement and review a learning plan.

Trainer Requirements

Regulatory requirements state that trainers must demonstrate expertise in teaching literacy and numeracy. This can include holding an AQF level 7 or above teaching qualification with a relevant method, or alternative methods to demonstrate vocational competency. Please contact us for further details.
