About this qualification

The Certificate II in Active Volunteering provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage in a variety of roles in a voluntary capacity across a range of contexts and organisations. Students learn to interact and communicate effectively, work in teams and carry out workplace procedures and tasks.

They develop the skills to be effective in the role of a volunteer, contributing to organisations and working with diverse people.

Trainer Requirements

Regulatory requirements state that, for all FSK units, trainers must have completed the following or equivalent TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set; or a higher level education qualification in this area, or Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher. This may include qualifications relating to TESOL, adult education or vocational education.
