This qualification provides a pathway to work as a retail sales consultant in any business that sells beauty or cosmetic products and services. Students learn to communicate and work safely and hygienically as part of a team, and with customers. This can include beauty and hairdressing salons, retail outlets and department stores.
Some Units of Competency in this qualification have a work placement requirement. This may be able to be completed at your school depending on the facilities and equipment. For some guidance on this, please contact us.
Regulatory requirements state that, for some units, trainers must hold a qualification as a beautician, nail technician, beauty therapist or hairdresser and - have worked as a beautician, nail technician, beauty therapist or hairdresser for at least three years.
