The Certificate III in Fitness provides students with the knowledge and skills to work in entry-level roles within the fitness industry. Students learn to support clients in achieving their health and fitness goals through safe and effective exercise practices. This includes conducting pre-exercise screening, completing fitness assessments, planning and instructing group exercise sessions, and developing gym-based programs for individual clients.
They also build an understanding of anatomy and physiology and learn to provide general healthy eating information within their scope of practice. The course focuses on practical skill development, communication, and working with a range of clients in fitness environments such as gyms and community settings. Students develop the ability to follow workplace procedures, apply health and safety requirements, and adapt exercise programs to suit different needs.
